Here are the top 10 developments in this big story

- This afternoon, Karnataka Minister CN Ashwathnarayan will meet with representatives of several IT companies to discuss problems caused by unprecedented rains.
- There will be attendance at the meeting from Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma, Chief Commissioner of the Bengaluru civic body Tushar Giri Nath, officials from the city's water authority, and the police commissioner, CH Pratap Reddy.

- The waterlogging in the city, for the second time in a week, has put the spotlight back on unplanned urbanization and encroachment that have choked drainage points.
- As a result, the government has swung into action. As per Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai, 1,500 crores have been allocated to drain water from the city and another 300 crores to remove encroachments.
- According to the Chief Minister, this situation was caused by the previous JDS-Congress government in the state. As a result of the unplanned administration under the previous Congress, permission was granted right, left, and center in the buffer zone and lakes.
